Professor Liz Grant MA PhD, FRSE, FRCPE, MFPH

Liz Grant is an Assistant Principal, Professor of Global Health and Development and Director of the Global Health Academy at the University of Edinburgh.

Liz is also a co-director of the University’s Global Compassion Initiative, and her research spans planetary health and palliative care in contexts of poverty and conflict – compassion as the value base of the Sustainable Development Goals, and the ethics of compassion and care. Her group Palliative Care in a Changing Climate Group, supports the development of palliative care services in fragile states and refugee settings.
